Our parks, open spaces and facilities contribute to a healthy, active, and open Edmonton. The work we are doing allows us to maintain and grow the spaces we all enjoy.

Kihciy askiy will provide a natural setting for the Indigenous community to host ceremonies, sweat lodges and facilitate intergenerational learning.
The City started a concept planning process in late 2018 to establish a 20-year vision and development plan for the park.
A new school park site will be developed in 2021 in the Chappelle East area in south Edmonton.
The goal of this park is to create a community space for people to gather and to attract further redevelopment to the area.

The Touch the Water project will increase access to the river valley near the Walterdale Bridge.

The landscape and amenity redevelopment around Beaumaris Lake is anticipated to be complete in 2021.
