Scona Pool Update

Scona Pool will remain open until City Council approves further direction at a meeting scheduled for July 8, 2009. An update will be provided following the July 8 City Council meeting.
The following is in place until additional direction is received:
Admissions and Passes
Admission prices will remain the same and existing Scona admission passes will be honoured at Scona Pool. Scona admission passes will also be honoured until expiry at all City of Edmonton recreation centres.
Drop-in Swims and Swim Lessons
Drop-in aquafitness, as well as public, family and lane swims will continue as scheduled. Swim lessons are not available at Scona, but are available at other City facilities. For more information on swim lessons, please see recreation centres or call 311.
Private Rentals
Private rentals are available at Scona, and can be made by calling 780-496-8756. To inquire about rental times available at other City facilities, please call 311.
Sports Club Bookings
Existing club bookings at Scona will continue. The City will work directly with sports clubs to accommodate and relocate bookings at other City facilities.
Strathcona High School
Through the Joint Use Agreement between the City of Edmonton and Edmonton’s school boards, Strathcona High School use will be accommodated at other City facilities if needed.
We encourage you to visit neighbouring City of Edmonton facilities to explore the many recreation programs and services available. Other nearby facilities include Kinsmen Sports Centre, Confederation Leisure Centre, Bonnie Doon Leisure Centre, and Mill Creek Outdoor Pool.
